ENERGY OF NOW: Happy New Moon in Cancer 8/7/2013 (Element: Water)

1. 1. Ramadan starts Monday 8th July with the energy of New Moon. It is a time of deep holy prayer, intensive fasting, kind thoughtful charity-giving and real self accountability. It is a time of personal self-examination and deep religious devotion.  There is no fighting during Ramadan.  It is one of the Five Pillars of Islam (belief, worship, charitable giving, fasting during the month of Ramadan and the pilgrimage to Mecca).    2. The sign for Cancer is the crab.  The crab is private, lives in its shell, loves it privacy and family. It will cling for dear life to loved ones. It will move sideways when it wants something and then suddenly grab at it when someone else wants to take it away!  If you find yourself feeling vulnerable, clingy and wanting to be with people, this is all very natural at this time.  This is a time of bonding with family and friends and feeling like you belong to a loving supportive structure.  You may find you need sex for sex! You may find you need real love.  Whatever your desire recognise it for what it is.
   3. This is the time to really work on making your life force bigger than it is. There has been (and there continues to be) lots of downloads and energy pouring into the universal air that we live in.  You may feel overwhelmed or tired; and feel you are surrounded by other peoples’ ‘stuff’ and not know what is your ‘stuff’ and what is their ‘stuff’.  The need to cleanse your energy body and physical body is very strong.  This meditation will be a cleansing session – clearing the gutter in you.  We will do a very powerful cleansing working with the Rainbow Mermaid Energy.  After the cleansing then healing comes.
   4. You really need to create boundaries for yourself.  NewMoon in Cancer brings in the energy of starting from now; creating new boundaries; and declaring them to everyone around you; so they know about your new boundaries.  By declaring your boundaries you get clear about what you want in your life and what you do not want.  The old boundaries do not apply any more.  You may need to refine old boundaries or remove them completely and create new ones. Why not just create new ones? Who will you hug and who will you allow to hug you? Great question.
   5. Bonding with Others: This is a time to bond with loved one and with others in a simple wholesome honest way. What ways do you bond with others?
   6. Moments of Happiness and Nurturing with Moments Together:It is a time to share moments together.  Moments of intimacy. Moment of family.  Moments of laughter.  Moments with loved ones. This is a good time for Sharing Moments of Happiness and Nurturing with family, friends and strangers who become new friends.  Make plans to meet up and be happy.

Numerology of 7/7  Ioanis Konstantinopulos wrote: “On your Birthday of 7-7 (2013), Andy Murray become the first Mens British Wimbledon Champion since Fred Perry. How long ago did Fred Perry win that title? 77 years ago ;-)”  Thank you Ioanis for the sharing.  I am sure we have some happy and sad faces with this news on tennis!  So very 7/7.

7/7 Birthdays  The day before this NewMoon in Cancer was my birthday, 7/7.  We celebrated with food, laughter, hugs and prayer invocation in the Rose Garden at Regents Park.  This was truly a wonderful occasion on many levels for me. We all felt the energy of 7/7 that day. It was powerfully inclusive and exclusive all at once.  Very strangely empowering in the inclusion and exclusion teaching one about standing alone strong and coming together as a group.  Very empowering day for everyone. This is the energy of now.

Ritual Ceremony of Gathering was led by Catherine Richardson, in yellow, a natural film director. As MC, she organised the little ritual birthday gathering, when it was time to cut the cake and sing me a song.  I am so used to leading it was nice to have someone lead and organise a ritual gathering for me!  I enjoyed everyone singing me Happy Birthday (four times! during the day). It was nice to hear each person, present in the ritual, bless me with kind words and prayers. Catherine made sure no one was left out, even the children. How inclusive it was to feel and experience.  I listened and cried and cried and cried!  I was so touched at what poured out to me from my friends, family, children, clients and Buddhists.  Even the children said a blessing for me.  Then we had a Muslim prayer, a Christian prayer, a Buddhist Nam Myoho Renge Kyo prayer, as well as a Shamanic prayer.

Playing Music is a fabulous way to announce and celebrate.  Music is a powerful ancient ritual.  Many instruments are made of real animal skin so working with animal totems calls in good energy and wisdom. Ronke Lawal enjoyed drumming the shamanic healing drum. Music is like flowing water.  It is healing and announcing.  This really is a time to love music.

Bonding with Children:  Later the children got involved insisting I read out all my birthday cards to everyone! Who invited them?  They all flocked round me to enjoy the sparkling light on the cake. Of course, I had to make it clear to one of the little girls that it was my cake and not hers. Surrounded by children who want to be close to you is a lovely feeling.  I do not have any children but children always come to me.  You see, you cannot buy a child’s love or respect.  The NewMoon in Cancer is about bonding with children and family. When children flock to you it is a blessing.  Thank you children.

Fairies Dancing in the Park: Some adults even went for a fairy dance round the rose garden!  They told us it was a Flowing Water Dance! Where are these people from?  I joined them!!! Cancer loves to dance and feel free and flow with ease, like water.   Happy water is always flowing.  Sad water is stagnant.  Dancing makes you  happy.

Symbol of Cancer is Water Energy: As I mentioned earlier, I cried and cried and cried. Tears are Water.  Cancer is a water sign, very emotional, acutely sensitive, intensely feeling and absolutely intuitive. If you find yourself shedding tears you know you are being infused by the energy of now i.e. NewMoon in Cancer. Tears can be signs of vulnerability or happiness. When you cry what tears are you crying?

We will cover all the above and more.  New Moon in Cancer meditation takes you to what you need, not want you want. This NewMoon in Cancer will make you think in a more precise way and give you answers to what you really need in your life right now; as opposed to what you want in your life.  Forgot all your ‘old’ new moon wishes you have written in the past; and really think and write down what you need right now in your life.  Do not just write what you want and repeat everything you have been writing before.  Really feel what you need, then write it down.  e.g. What do I want right now could be cold water, or a deep healing, etc.  This is not a time to think: What do other people want for me? or How can I please ….?.  New Moon in Cancer is what you need right now in your heart.  By the end of the meditation workshop you will find your own heart, receive great internal healing and feel a tremendous shift in your body.

Homework

1. Go dance in the park and feel joy in your feet and in your heart.
